Last night I tried out the multiplayer demo for upcoming racing game, Blur. I didn't know what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised with this game. Basically, it is Mario Kart, with 'realistic' cars and graphics.
On the demo, there are a few tracks available, and two racing modes to try out. One mode can support upto 10 racers, and the other can support upto 20. I'm not sure why they bothered to offer up the 10 player one, but there must be a difference that I didn't notice.
The racing is alot of fun, and can get pretty chaotic with so many other racers. You can also earn experience, and unlock other cars & upgrade existing ones. Below is a short trailer for Blur, which shows off some of the weapons which can be used during the races...
Blur should be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in a month or two, and I will be picking this one up. The FREE multiplayer demo is available to download on the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Check it out. I think this game will be alot more fun when played with friends.
